As a lover of the works of P. G. Wodehouse, I wanted to give this game a very hearty recommendation, because the writing does a remarkable job of imitating his style and humor, and I had a great deal of fun with it. (The fact that there's a "de-slanged" mode for the game is so funny to me. I of course played it with slang on. I'm used to the Bertie Wooster - and Bartie Worster - nonsense.) It was entertaining enough that I'd forgive the sometimes-obtuse puzzles and rather abrupt ending and give it four stars. Unfortunately, the fact that one puzzle involved an attempt to "force" (the game's word, not mine) Julia into walking under mistletoe by tampering with all the doors so she could only enter under it while Bartie was there, thus railroading her into kissing him, made me decidedly uncomfortable. Bertie is certainly not free of misogyny, but he hasn't done anything like that with his rare female love interests in the original stories, and it skeeved me out enough that I have to drop it another star.
A rich, detailed story based game crafted with care under every aspect. A pleasure to read and play. Definitely Recommended
