A valiant effort, especially considering that you had a bit of a hiatus from game dev until recently!

I think the overall concepts and ideas that are present in this game are a really solid foundation for an interesting walking simulator type game. Having the level change based on the path that you take is always an interesting trope in video games, and with the narrative theme for the game, that trope could work very well (sort of a Matrix-y/Inception-y type play through).

It's pretty clear that you did not get to implement everything you had planned for in the game, but it's easy to see what you were trying to achieve. I think with a bit of extra time this could be a really engaging experience, you should definitely consider doing a post-jam release of the game.

For being a game which is aimed for a more narration/story approach this game has got a lot going for it. Although I did run into a few bugs with tracks looping, falling out of the world without a reset and kinda clueless to what the crouch mechanic was intended for. But other than that the game is quite complaint free and to-the-point.

Quite a good job for a solo project I was kinda wishing for a more indication at the end to which cube was enlightenment as I also got possessed at the end instead of being enlightened.

Thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it!
There were a lot of things I wanted to implement but didn't get working in time or just ran out of time, such as the use for the crouching mechanic, or actually enabling the death boxes, so you don't just endless fall with no reset.

Next time I will definitely try and make the two endings a bit clearer, I went for a matrix reference with the red and blue cubes as the red and blue pill throw ins but it wasn't very obvious haha

I really like this game, it has all the best parts of the gameplay i like, though i was confused by the blue box and had to investigate but ended up getting possessed :(.

Thank you, I am glad you liked the game and the gameplay! :D

In hindsight I should have either gone with different colours, or maybe signs to tell you which one is which. I quickly added the colours as a red pill and blue pill reference from the Matrix haha.
Sorry that you got possessed though! :(
