I love the aesthetic and presentation of this game, and it's really fun to run around a brightly-lit citadel of white and y2k-era models.

Unfortunately, it felt like the controls were fighting me the entire way. Hacking people really didn't seem necessary outside of gathering up some checkpoints on distant islands, checkpoints would frequently lock up my controls and merit a restart, sometimes falling off would put me in a perpetual falling loop and merit a restart, and there were some places that I wasn't really able to get to.

Apparently I got 13/13 checkpoints, but I saw another checkpoint I hadn't filled, with a wide pit, an NPC next to me, a banner and a wall that I couldn't bounce off, and I didn't know what to do from there.

It's really unfortunate because I love how this game looks and I feel like the whole "breaking into an old virtual chat client" aspect has a lot of merit to it. But unfortunately I got extremely frustrated to the point where I couldn't really continue, and that's really a huge shame because this is ripe with potential. It just needs a bit of polishing, a bit of bugfixing, and a bit more love, and then it'll be a knockout for sure!

Thanks! The aesthetic is very inspired by Mamoru Osoda's Summer Wars.

Some of the checkpoints are preeetty hard to find yeah haha

Love the clean look. It kinda gives a wii vibe haha. I think the colors/lil avatars help there. It was a little hard to figure out what to do and the jumping was a little bit awkward as is always the case with this camera angle but after getting used to it it was pretty good! There's a good game makers toolkit vid on jumping in mario games I think. Those are the games you wanna pick apart if you wanna go for this camera angle I reckon. Oh yeah and cool billboard art :D
