I think doing a bunch of little Warioware type minigames is a pretty neat take on target-shooters, you could probably extend it by coming up with all sorts of creative gimmicks. Right now it’s a bit simple, not sure if the static camera frame is the most suitable for it, but it does make me think of Policenauts or something.
