We are allowed to spend the ENTIRE jam time working on the game, right?

I've been making a game for the past like 3 weeks, with hundreds of hours put in already and just realized that people have been submitting games that they made in like a day. I checked the rules and it seems ok to work the whole jam time, but I'm just checking in. Also you guys should check out said game when I finish it, because its genuinely so fun to play.

some of us began working on our games when the jam was announced (and earlier as this is an annual jam around the same time each year) where this is a completely casual jam with no surprises like waiting for a theme or requirement to be announced (except for the "surprise" extension ;) ).

participants with various levels of experience devote as much time/energy as they can/want toward whatever project they want to work on and share, small to large, while the jam's duration is merely the window to submit our 20 Second game(s).

that said, i've played nearly all the submissions thus far and, while some obviously took more time to create than others, most all deliver a unique FUN and are complete successes that their creators should be proud of, and i look forward to playing yours :)

feel free to share your progress on the 20sGJ Discord Server before it's finalized if you'd like some feedback or just want to tease some of the fun that you've got in store for us :)

Alright, thanks for the clarification. I'm more used to ranked jams with somewhat stricter rules, but I understand you guys are very flexable. Also thanks for the extension I was stressing a ton to get all of my levels finished.

i thank the hosts every year for such a wonderful, stress-free jam :)

and, even after the deadline, you can continue working on it so if there are still levels to be added post-jam deadline, you've got time for that ;)

ah, i see you've made it to the server and are already sharing. welcome!
