A Feast For The Fey Playtest!

Hello All!

For the last year I have been working on creating A Feast For The Fey. A solo journaling cooking adventure set in the lands of the fey. It has cosy vibes, and the gameplay is inspired by Anna Blackwell’s excellent Apothecaria as well as Stardew Valley.

I am excited to finally have a version ready to playtest and I am looking for people interested in playtesting the game.

How it works

If you are interested then join my discord (link below) where I will share all the playtest files. I’d love people to play at least one in-game season and then fill out a form answering questions about your experience playing the game. You will also need to send me a copy of your game trackers so I can check for any balance issues.

I am looking for people to be really open and honest with their feedback to help spot any issues and improve the game, hopefully resulting in a game you will all enjoy playing!

Please note, this discord server is completely new, so it might change a bit as people join.

Timings

I will be collecting playtest feedback until the end of the year with a hope for the final game to go live in Q2 2025.

What do you get for playtesting?

For those that fill out the form appropriately and send me their game trackers you will get a free digital copy of the final game and, if you would like to, your name will also be included in the final book. I will obviously also be eternally grateful!

How will the final game differ?

The playtest version of the game only includes the basic content with a simple layout. The final version will have improved design and layout, more content, iterations based on playtesting as well as some great art!

I have commissioned illustrator Bryony Devitt to create the art for both the cover and illustrations throughout the book. She’s already done the cover art and it is looking fantastic! I cannot wait for you all to see the final version though there's a little sneak peak of the cover in the image for this post.

Thank you, I'm so happy to be able to share this first playtest version.
