Game Developer Wannabe Devlog - Intro

I guess I should write something about me but I would not, because this series of post are firstly referred to me and my future project and projects, as a log of my progress , not for others to buy or be part of the project, although more as welcome . To anyone interested , I am a random Joe (not my name), with an average job, living in a first world country, part of the "Golden Billion" according to Char, but not native English speaking although multilingual, a bit above average age that used to consume video gaming since long, although something made me stop . That something will be revealed later and it is one of the secrets I won't spoil. But if you want spoilers, Bruce Willis in 6th Sense movieis a walking dead and it is revealed in the end . 

 My coding knowledge is pure elementary, but still I believe that I can develop a game which was my dream since childhood . Back then, that would require expensive equipment along with difficult, long and expensive degrees but that, regarding the loads of indie developers, platforms and games available that changed . Still, I don't intent to develop another game like any other game, but something never seen before and I don't exaggerate . Despite that, I plan to exploit any free assets can help me, including AI for image generation and especially coding, and also copy other games mechanics before I add the one unique element that will make end project unique . 

 That specific element will be visible only when second player starts playing against first player that will be me. And yes, I almost can see your reaction and read your thought. You think that playing against the developer is a certain defeat, and no one could win the maker. But this is the best part. Thanks to that secret element , no one could play on God Mode. Even developer could lose to a simple new player, if said player is skilled . And that's a clue. If you figure it, please don't spoil . And not only that.  Another basic gameplay element will be added, that will make Godmode and also "pay to win" impossible, but I will get to that later 

Before that, I have to point that since first development, video games have one single core element on gameplay, and it is the exact same element that makes gambling games exciting  and this is what I will take out, replacing it with that aforementioned mysterious element. But still, my projects could easily be classified in genres, and here is what the first one will be. A Football (NOT SOCCER FELLOW AMERICANS ) Manager .  Online , co-operative and competitive. Players will be able to buy teams or shares of teams, try to raise their teams’ value by winning matches and then sell for higher price. An ingame currency will be credited , which it can be traded for digital or even physical assets, and yes, it will be "Play to Earn" . Not "Pay to Win" though, although donations buttons will be added, and then any cents donated ( I keep ball down) will be added on trophies to be claimed.

So, here is the procedure, after it's developed. New player registered, choose team, by a portion or whole team, play match, and if he is skilled, wins and increase team's possibilities to win tournaments . As obvious , a team can be owned by many players, so they will have to co-operate and share responsibilities according to their abilities. For example, one player can be good in tactical aspect, and other skilled gamer. I keep on repeating skill part, because it will be crucial ,as it will be based on the secret element I mentioned above . In conclusion , skill will be crucial, but it won't be the only element to dominate game.  Knowledge of Football as a sport , rules , strategies but also power distribution among European teams will be necessary too. 

As you figured, it will be real, existing Football teams for players to operate . Of course, operating a big team gives you a slight advantage that can be balanced if opponent is more skilled , therefore bigger teams will have higher price . And here is the point, that I let you know that it won't be one game, but three different although branches from the same trunk. First things first, it will be only a fantasy league , where winners will be decided according to real results on terrains across Europe , in a League Pyramid with teams classified according their performance in international tournaments and the ones by their country . 

In that first project, players still could partly affect team they chose . It seems complicated but it will not when ready. I give an example that you may skip . I haven't done classification yet , but I suppose that Real Madrid and Liverpool will be in the top division of League Pyramid . Now, in real life, Real Madrid and Liverpool never matched last season, 2023-2024. So, that pair will be decided by players . Real Madrid did match Bayern Munich though, another team that will certainly be on top league . Real Madrid won one game and draw other, so Real Madrid would be rewarded with 4 points and Bayern Munich 1, if I had started it one year prior 

Fantasy League project will be done first to set the base, the environment real Video Games will be developed, but also to check if there will be any Copyright related liabilities and how to tackle them. I intent to use the "Fair Use" regulations , and as far I have already researched, Fantasy Leagues don't violate Copyright Rules 

And that's a brief (yes, a brief) of future and distant future projects . If it seems complicated, it is because it is actually complicated and I encourage questions in comments below, but not promising that I will answer everything . In next post I will set the timeline step by step. One of the steps will be the first digital profits that will be claimed, and yes, you guessed right, it will be NFTs. And no, it won't be usual MS Paint jpgs , but unique videos and pictures from atheltic action with actual stars and many others , Still, I can't estimate the market value they would obtain , but still will be free for any winners
