Sunkissed - Progress Update


Hello dear game-enjoyers!

The game I am currently working on is called "Sunkissed" . You will play as Daniel, which joins his mom, Karen, and sister, Blair, on a summer vacation in a remote tropical destination! Unlike other games, this game aims to be a little more realistic mechanic-wisely.

You will have less autonomy since you are not the "leader" of the group, but be still able  to decide between micro decisions that have consequences for the rest of the game. It is build with replayability and different paths in mind, and with a little more attention to quality over quantity (No promises!!!)

The game's layout is a series of days, each with it's own unique attractions and scenes.

It would also contain lots of bonus / side features like spying with a spyglass, digging out treasure, breaking into people's phones / etc...

Optionally the game might have the ability to interact with more characters (for now it's just the 3)

It is about 50% there, there are still a few more days to create, the finale scenes, bonus features and the wrap up / publishing effort.

Hi there! I really want to see a threesome in your games (mother, sister and son) for example. I have been waiting for that for so long so i hope you will put that one day ;). Also speaking of features in this game, how about put a public sex but every time a stanger will see you both (or maybe three) she/he will react in different ways? like for the first time she will just turn around and leave, second time she will stay for a while and watch the whole process, next time some of our main characters will make her join, like some corruption but with strangers...?

I love and subscribe to your stranger idea! Best scenario it would be that the stranger is a he so it could possibly lead to some ntr, especially in the acopcalyptic scenarios, scavengers, hooligans, gangs, religious extremists and what not, she is good to maximize the sexual action already started but it can also be a monster, robot or, why not, a stray horny dog:)

A lot of mother and son sexual encounters in public places, maybe with an element of danger, possibly involving a minigame in some parts to keep you from getting caught. Would also love to see mother and shota son with dog. These are just thoughts, I really don't want to burden you. Implement what you can because I'm sure it will be an awesome game!

Hello everyone, I am working on the game every day including weekends for at least 4 hours a day if not more.

It's making good progress but giving estimations is for when funding is involved and funding is not involved so fuck off, just kidding, its just hard to say since there are many features that are on the "maybe" list and I'd want to implement most of them. I'd also want to up the quality a little bit, especially bug-wisely. Since my games often get somewhat neglected on that department. So it will take some time but its being worked on.

Honestly take as long as you need. The more features added, the happier people will be for the end product. Just keep killing it

Hmm, the previews look really promising and I'm sure I'm going to enjoy this one as I did the other games you made. My suggestion is more related to mechanics than the story. What I would like to see is different endings for the sex scenes, some good, some bad, if certain conditions are met or not. I get this idea since I've played Refugee Roadtrip and Desperate Days(my favorites of the lot). I mean everything could go well and all the way if certain items are in inventory and certain action were taken or it could not, like someone knocks at the door, someone interrupts, a phonecall is received, characters are hungry. I know this mechanic would be harder to implement in the current game because it takes place in a relaxed enviroment, but if you can't please keep it in mind for the future realeases. It could take things to a whole new level.

P.S: Can't even being to stress how awesome it would have been this mechanic in Atomiquest, at least at the character picture level, to see them begin to undress and tease eachother in a wrong spot:)

Hi Retsym,

One additional thing I think would be nice to include in the next game is the POV mode that you had for POVMan in Atomiquest, however, POV would be from Daniels point of view, and this would of course affect the POV camera angle.


As a second thing, I had an idea to pitch to you to put into that large bag of already nice ideas: a slice of life in a school dance / prom setting similar to HouseWife in that the game would have two parts but with a more story driven approach of The Goodtown Mystery. The first part of the game would be the days leading to the dance and the second part of the game would be e.g. the day before, the day of and the day after the dance. In the first part the objective would be to make a plan, get the interest to go to the dance, and do preparation stuff (eg. hotel bookings etc.) and in the second part the player executes / observes the outcome.


Replayability could be introduced by persisting some "stimulations" or "knowledge" between the plays which unlock new approaches or even new characters. So for example, perhaps in the second part of the first playthrough the player observes that some character is lonely or jealous of players attention to someone else. This would then unlock new interactions with that character during the subsequent playthroughs.

This is a great idea for a unique classic game of it's own (That has no adult content / not related to those types of games)

please add a focus on an anal only playthrough (no vaginal).. ass eating, playing, fucking etc. loved refuge roadtrip, probably one of my most fav games you made. as anal only would make sense, to avoid pregnation

Hey retsym, had a suggestion for this game.

Could you add some information at the end of the game to let the players know about the aftermath of their choices which led to the epilogue? For example, if the player successfully manage to "win the queen's heart" and decides to "run away with the queen" in the end, could you add an image or two with a description like "The queen was happier than ever before with her new prince, even happier than she ever was with the old king. The queen and the prince continued their lineage and lived happily ever after, while the old king lived in desperation knowing that the queen now belonged to another man"... Something like that if yk what I mean! We need to know what happened to the characters after the epilogue.. games like housewife and recently divorces had abrupt/ little to no proper endings at all. Would be awesome to see a proper ending or a free explore mode after the ending to revisit previously unlocked scenes.


Also, would love to see an intense romantic path with an emphasis on making out and sensual foreplay in this game or another one, since the slow burn of romance in your games are intense, but way too underexplored when the focus is more towards the corruption path. 


Could you give us an update on the development once every 10-15 days, if that won't be a hassle..thanks!

At this point the character names are so engrained in the game, it would be hard. But I'll see if it's possible

I love your games. This one seems like it will be very solid. I like the idea of replay ability for new routes/endings (so long as the relevant scenes are saved, like they were with you last few games). A few suggestions:

1. As a quality of life thing, if possible, is to balance some of the stochastic elements more in favor of the player *eg making the opponent slightly more likely to have a bad hand at a card game, over or underguessing in black jack, or making it so specific item drops are more common if they're critical items, etc.* Sometimes those can ruin the experience if you have to replay a specific game a bunch of times to get a specific outcome. I like the minigames from an immersion perspective. 

2. Humor in the storyline is good (eg. including events with unexpected causes and effects, characters lying in a very obvious way and getting caught but the outcome is innocent, unbelievably dumb behavior/characters, hypocritical behavior generally). I notice you do this subtly sometimes and can tell you have a good sense of humor. Lean into it more.

3. Seems like you have this planned, but when breaking into sister's or mother's phone, option to find video of "liason" with another guy while you were working your magic with a different character (or perhaps while you were asleep, etc.). Or texts exchanged reflecting the phone owner's feelings for their brother/son.

excited about this one!  these are the type of games that your oldest fans like and remember.  some of these scenes even resemble michael's family.

I just want to say, I loved your art style since I first saw very long vacations first time. Glad you are back and you still make nice games.

First of all, I have to say that the renders and the characters are looking good. I also like vacation as a setting because it allows for a set period of game time and a plausible setting for passing time.


Characters

When people go onto a holiday they tend to bring a lot of clothing. Day-time clothes in a warm climate would tend to be more loose and ordinary while for night time activities the characters could put on something with more bling and show more cleavage (but not too much) especially when attending dinner or going to a night club.

As for the number of characters, I would much rather have a story, build up, interactions and content for a just a couple of characters than shallow content for many characters. Some supporting characters can help sell the main story better and make endings feels more "real" e.g. in this game one such character could be the father figure or a rival who can cause an early game over scene such as: After failing to woo Karen, the game skips to the end of the vacation and screen follow with text: "Family <surname> had a wonderful vacation. Karen found the spark with <father> once more. Blair had a summer romance. And Daniel... well he had fun too" with Daniel all grumpy and kicking rocks. A father-figure rival actually would not need to be physically in the game but could be present in the character's discussions. For example, perhaps Karen confides in Daniel and talk about her marriage.

Build up and mini-games

I find that build up is one of the hardest things to get right in these kinds of games. Usually devs just jump to the spicy content after some lukewarm dialogue. I would like to see the level of intimacy between the characters increase slowly. For this, mini games like the dancing mini-game is a great idea! Other activities like that where the character can slowly but surely explore new territory will help sell the progression better.

Which brings us to the important point that development of the relationship between Daniel and Karen should not be a linear grind. For example, suppose there is a domination path for Daniel where he tries to swoo Karen. So Daniel will try to make advances but Karen should realize that what is happening is inappropriate and wrong, and set him straight in a very strict manner. For example, too eager touching would be met with annoyance and scolding, and a first attempt at a kiss on the dance floor will cause her to pull back in "what in the earth are you doing?" manner. It should be up to the player to get past these obstacles, and even if you did everything right, the story should be done so that there are always some ups and downs.

Game and scene endings

Speaking of endings. I would much appreciate more contentful endings with more control on how content ends. Regarding the game endings, ideally there would be both bad endings (like the one above) and good endings. And the endings could be more than just summarizations of how you did during the game. As an example, the ending of the Housewife game could have been a playable epilogue from the kids perspective. The family would be back home again, the playable character is the kid, it would be night time and he is in his bed, credits and scores roll on the side of the screen but the player can choose to click on the bed to go to sleep OR (if you did well enough) click on the door and wonder into the mom's bedroom and "drive" home the victory.

With scene endings I would like to be able to choose where to finish (face, mouth, tits, ass, etc.) especially so if the route the character is on is the domination route.

Phew, sorry for the long write. :) Super excited to see Sunkissed when it is out - it is looking great!

I definitely agree with quality over quantity. Focusing on 2-4 characters' buildup is much more satisfying than 6-10 flings that barely make sense.
