Devlog 03

When I deal with scheduling work, I'm a very particular person, I either have no schedule at all whatsoever or, I tailor my schedule to the specific task/s at hand and follow it meticulously, no in-between. I also tend not to follow assigned schedules as I usually end up making my own internal schedule that I follow separately, but once again that depends on the project I'm working on.

In regard to this project, I am assisting with producer/project management roles and tasks, but that's not my specific role on the team. However, while I usually struggle to properly follow schedules, I think with the team we have, scheduling will be less of a hassle than it may seem to be. Our team is really cohesive so far and we have good chemistry, while that doesn't always affect work scheduling and assigning deadlines, I think it's a really useful thing to have since it allows you to know who you can trust with work and how long they usually take to work on a task especially if you already have an understanding of the person's unique workflow, many of us in our haven't worked together on a project before but the chemistry is already there as well as an understanding of how we all work, what we struggle with and what we tend to excel at. Now all that matters is scheduling tasks to utilize that knowledge to maximize our team's efficiency.

Chemistry! Yes that's the word! I've always heard chemistry between players at sports events, but I hadn't thought of it as a game development team. But now that I've experienced it first hand, I realize how powerful it can be. Especially when the team is struggling with scheduling, a good chemistry allows the team to accomplish more than expected in a very short period of time. This is one of the charms of teamwork!

At times, I skip scheduling because I'm aware of my tasks. Additionally, I can be lazy about monitoring progress, leading to "overdue" tasks when I don't update their status regularly.

Glad to hear that your team's synergy is good! Scheduling varies so much from person to person, always happy to see that other people have a workflow that works out for them. I hope that your team continues to have no issues in the upcoming semester.

I think our team's chemistry will definitely be a bonus. Not really having to worry about communication issues will ensure that we can hopefully resolve issues quickly and will keep us accountable since none of us want to let each other down.
