Weekly Update #2

Howdy people of the internet.

Finally back to a state of doing things.

Things got a bit worse so I ended up taking a few weeks off. In the mean time I got to re-explore the world of elden ring. I am getting pretty far in this playthrough and it is honestly pretty refreshing to go through the game again.

I made a tetris demo in the time between posts so I'll have to put that up this week some time.

It got me thinking about a few game ideas that I think would be interesting in practice.

One thing that came to mind was the idea of a game where you use tetraminos to make weapons that you use in the game. The idea would be that each tetramino would add additional damage, size, effects magical or otherwise, and if you make lines in the weapon creator window then it would boost the weapon as well like upgrade levels or something.

The other idea I had was what if you took tetris and made it into a minigame within an RTS that spawns materials when you clear lines. Then you could select where the little characters go and set up rally points and paths for the little characters to go down.

Idk it seems like there are some fun applications to me.
