After conducting research on VR, I found myself enamored with the concept of treating mental illness through VR exposure and wanted to gear my pitch towards that. My game pitch sought to place the player in the role of a VR therapist, treating clients that approach them virtually. The game was set in a 1st person setting, where the player would select a suitable environment to place clients after talking to them and figuring out what their issue is. The ultimate goal of the game would be to educate players about the potential usage of VR within a professional space and how it can be used to treat mental illness.
The actual pitching of the game went well. It was a little stressful, and I did notice I spoke a little fast near the end of the presentation, but overall I think it went pretty smoothly. Ultimately, when assembling a team and picking a pitch to work on, my team decided to go with a different idea about cybersecurity. I feel like my research could be used when working in the new project, so I'm not too sad that my idea was discarded.
Overall, the game pitch went pretty well and I'm looking forward to seeing how this new idea will turn out.
