The  Ancient Door (working title)

Game Summary :

You are presented with an ancient African door which unlocks great knowledge and wisdom, the door is decorated with Benin Bronze type artefacts , repeat the mystical pattern that it gives to unlock the treasures that it possesses .

Core Mechanics:

- Elements of the door lights up or movies in a pattern

- Successfully repeating pattern completes level

- any one mistake in repeating patter is a failure 

- 30 sec count down occurs after 30 sec of inactivity, after that elapses an still no input, level failure

Gameplay:

The stage is represented as a door with Benin Bronze sculptures around it, elements of the door lights up or moves in a pattern, you have to repeat that pattern to unlock the door. The patterns become more complex over time.

Music:

There is African drumming as background music, it gives the sense of mystical and ancient vibes. When their is 30sec count down the music changes to a faster tempo drumming to motivate the player to interact with the door. 

Art Style:

Going for a hand drawn feeling to the game, as it has relatively simple mechanics the visual vfx will pop and zing to give great feedback and the excitment of playing as an Indiana Jones type character in a catacomb.
