General Update

Hey people of the internet I have returned for another post to send into the either.

Lately I have been bogged up with work and my fair share of medical issues and natural disasters so now that I am able to take a moment to write things down I want to give a general update on things.

Over the past two months I have been attempting to get a code signing certificate and I honestly have no idea what's even going on with that. I have been talking with the support people every now and then about it but the sheer amount of time that it is taking and the extremely unresponsive and basically nonexistent communication from their end is staggering to say the least. As my first experience with this kind of thing it is very disheartening. This has mostly left me defeated emotionally.

In any case, I am going to get into the habit of doing weekly updates and checkins for weeks without updates. With everything going on I have been mostly on holiday playing balder's gate 3, pikmin 4 and a few other games that came out recently. I think now that I have gotten my fill I will be transitioning back into game development with a focus on getting out one demo at a time lol.

I for the first 5-6 months of this year was building a game I'm calling Ninja Pool. This game is mainly functionally done but I want to focus on getting the game to release quality and putting it out as a demo just like Over Do It. It will probably take some time but I want to get it together and put it out there since I already worked so hard on it. After Ninja Pool comes out on Itch I want to also put it onto steam in early access. Luckily that part is already doable, I got Steam Partner status way earlier this year.

Once that's all set up I want to work on completing Over Do It's extra play modes. Right now the game is just sandbox mode and the main menu. I want to not only add the gun dudes back in but also complete a few playable modes that allow for the player to go against a Bot Player in both the main mode and in some new modes that involve changing up the map and gameplay in general. The game is more or less a tech demo displaying what I can do so I want to show that off thoroughly.

After all of that is complete I want to start working on my next major project. This will consist of three smaller tech demo games and one large game experience that I'll be bringing in a team for. If you haven't already checked out the PikMechanics demo I made I have decided to make a Pikmin like game and that will be a project that I will be working on for a few years. The reason I am doing the three smaller tech demos is because they will be demos for mechanics I want to put into the larger game project to put a few modifications into the formula an make it mine.

I am always changing and growing so this too may change and grow as time goes on. I may also put out a small game or two here or there as well but it will be on an extremely limited basis.

If you've read this far please be sure to take a break and give yourself a pat on the back lol.

Thank you to all the people who got my back and really are supporting me in this.
