This post is a bit late but last week my networking teammate and I made a huge advancement. We got a visible connection working in a private project. At the start of the week I was able to successfully get the joining players to transition from the opening map to the map of the host. towards the end of the week, my partner was able to get all player characters present on said map. Moving included. All that's next is to replicate the bows, character classes, and game feature across the network.
Some struggles included lack of time and motivation. It's taken a lot longer than I wanted just to get all players visible. So the lack of progress was starting to get to me. I'll also be starting work soon so I have less time to get things done each day. In order to get around that, I'll just have to work for more days on this game. I just have to push through; two months and I'll be able to breathe a little lighter.
