VR By Jacob

Hello All, my name is Jacob,  I've been doing Level design, UI, and now VR too. A problem that was encountered this time was our VR guy got sick, so I took on the Task of VR considering that I've been the one to play around with it and try learning it more. The Build we made this week needed to catch up because some script changes were made so that things would work under the hood. The cooking is working for the patties on the VR build. It was a bit of a curve starting since I couldn't ask questions to our VR guy(Andrew), but I could look back at how it worked in the previous build and learn and catch up. I transferred the level design over to the VR pretty smoothly. The only problems that existed with the player working and the UI working properly were due to different scripts or logic.

The solution I've had for UI and how to properly give it space through pop-ups that disappear after not looking at them, and showing most on the tutorial during the first day on Monday and afterward shut off most UI in the Levels so because the Idea is the player should know most of the controls now. A button can be added to the settings. That the player can turn off and on some of the UI. Decisions as to what UI it would be would have to be decided but the UI that would be shut off would be UI that only really needs to be seen the first day. The Majority of the UI will probably be  the Apartment and if we feel we are short on time their maybe some trimming from the RPG aspects.
