It's over.
This week was some last-minute changes, post-mortem zoom call, and the final project showcase (FPS). The days leading up to this were unspeakably anxiety inducing. I was really worried that some never before bug would pop up last second reducing our game to unplayable malware. Luckily it is still very playable malware. There are still a large number of aspects of the game that prove to be issues both in my opinion and in objective fact. A number of bugs are present including oversights from myself. After FPS I have a notes document on my phone that I'd still like to fix so maybe I'll make a "Developer's Cut" as it were.
Post-Mortem was a painfully long zoom call. I can understand if I'm in the minority in this, but I firmly believe zoom was the single worst thing to happen to education in my lifetime. By the time it was my groups turn to share I was totally spaced out. There is no reason why an in-person meeting isn't possible at this point, I understand there are online students, but they still could've made a better compromise for on campus students.
Tomorrow is the graduation ceremony and as I write this my family is driving to Orlando to see me. I'm not sure if this is the place to share the totality of my experience at Full Sail and frankly, I'm so exhausted from these past months I doubt I could articulate myself very well. Thank you to all the instructors and staff for this opportunity and know that I intend to use the knowledge I've gained to be the best developer I can.
