Thwip Developer Progress Log

Dev Log: 4/27/2023 - Thwip Progress : Logan Krauss, Project Lead

There's been smooth sailing this week in regards to moving the needle. We've updated map assets with new textures and particle system, added additional functionality to core mechanics, and made minor improvements that should allow testing/debugging to be easier to perform.

In regards to obstacles I encountered, there is always something to learn being the product lead. I had to take some some time away from my work and that is a lot of responsibility to set aside. I am thankful and grateful to my 3 other team members for helping as much as they did keep things on track while I was away. In missing some time, some documentation was not completed up to standard but with communication with our producers and instructors we managed to get things back on a healthy track. Our Source Control and engine caused us a massive amount of headache when migrating assets from our artist build to our Developer build, but we are happy to say now we are all working under the same source control and the same project. This will result in a much smoother workflow for everyone.

We expect to finish a prototype build on the final day of the month with a base character, audio, animations, models, an asset showcase level, and much more.
