Thwip Developer Progress Log

Dev Log: 4/22/2023 - Thwip Progress : Logan Krauss, Project Lead

This week, I made progress on some of Thwip's UI. Basic menu functionality is in the process of being implemented, and the assets for the level are quickly making progess for some fantastic working level tools. I worked with our Artist, Timothy Henry to update a lot of the visuals and they are looking SICK. We can't for you to see them. More planning and research on the functionality of things took place this week as well.
Managing time as Students has been a big learning curve for a team of three developers and one artist. Between class assignments, school events, and other life expectations, this week was a heavy week and it put a delay on our progress. Going through our team's plans at the end of the week, we feared we were far behind schedule.

In lieu of this concern, we scheduled a meeting. We got our team together and discussed a game plan moving forward that included more efficiently dividing work among the team, having Bi-weekly meetings, logging our hours worked with goals, and making sure to take care of ourselves by not working after 10pm. We care a lot about this game and we want to see it on the right track.

As the weeks contininue we plan to keep doing these blog post to keep everyone updated. I plan on implementing SFX, a TDM system, and some other debug systems to make the development process easier.
