During this last week, our time to work on the game was considerably less as our college had an event in which we were asked to assist at different panels, conferences, etc., so this week I decided to fix different bugs and problems our save system still has while also figuring out a way to prevent already picked-up items or already killed enemies from respawning.

 

I started by removing the reset level button, which was causing a bug that spawned the player in the middle of the water instead of the beginning, and after some thinking and talking to my producer, I came to realize the button was unnecessary. I also realized I needed if checks for the load buttons to appear in the main menu and death screen in order for those buttons not to cause the same issue the restart button did.
