Playtest Update: DUNGEONS & FLAGGINS

Wanted to show off some of the great characters that exited our one-night playtest of the expanded edition of Dungeons & Flaggins. I think these lovely gems show how far you can get in just one, one hour session of Dungeons & Flaggins. While it may seem like characters can grow too powerful too quickly, it feels fricken awesome and it’s perfect for one-night rounds; plus, you never know how long you really have with a full group to play with.

Meet: Halimandier, Champion of the god Roy Stetson.

ST: 4, DX: 4, CN: 2, IN: 1, WS: 0, CH: 0

HP: 15, AC: 6

Healing -1; Awareness -2; Athletic -1

Halimandier is a level 4 Champion [a new, emerging class], and gained three levels in our one night of game play.

Aaaand the character my wife played in the play-test - Jazlene Snow, the Scout.

ST: 2, DX: 2, CN: 1, IN: 3, WS: 2, CH: 2

HP: 25, AC: 2

Nimble -2, Endurance -2, Awareness -2, Athletic -3

Jazlene was a certified killer; she reached level 8 in only one session of play with a body count that included a crit-one-hit-kill of a Wraith, and the BBEG Ice Witch; she also saved my character’s life from a hallway collapse. Your characters should aspire to be half the character Jazlene turned out to be.

Anyway, I can now safely say that there is a very functional, very fun expansion of the Dungeons & Flaggins rules on the way to you. It will include the Scout and Champion classes, as well as some others. The various skills will be explained as well [Nimbleness, Endurance, ect.]. In the meantime, please let me know how your playthroughs of DUNGEONS & FLAGGINS are going!

I love you.
