In honor of International Women's Day being just yesterday, we have decided to release our eight page, rules lite introductory rules to the World's Most Popular Role Playing Game. After our group got burned by sexist, misogynistic authors, midway through production of several products coded to their particular OSR style game, we decided to pursue constructing a rules-lite ttrpg guide for D&D esque fans. There are a lot of products like this one, but the distinctiveness of this one is that it is pro-people, anti-racism, anti-homophobia, and anti-objectification of human beings. It is meant to provide an introductory ttrpg and a set of rules that is inclusive of everyone, and does not make anyone feel like a slab of meat or lesser for existing the way they are. And given this context, we felt like we had to release it for International Women's Day. We want to celebrate women of all backgrounds, welcome women to the table, and ensure they are provided a context of equality to participate at every table. Happy International Women's Day and long live equality.
If you feel like we do and want to play with a set of rules that will never treat people as less-than, consider checking out We're Basically Experts! It is free. And, to top it off, we will also be setting up a special edition with added content soon, so keep an eye out for that.
