This week one of my main assignments was making a controller mapping for the game, at the beginning I confused it with having the feature of letting the players have their own key settings/bindings but then I realized it was just letting the player play with a controller. Also, had trouble with the controller using widgets.
After some amount of research and approximately an hour discussing with my team members the way our keys would adapt to any kind of controller, I was able to bind it successfully. I also had to replace every input key events in the code for personalized input events created in the project settings in which I assigned every function a key and a button on a controller. The only issue I wasn't able to fix was the controller not working on widgets.
