Hey everyone, I don't know what's up with Itch, but there has been a MASSIVE increase in scam bots in the past few months, and now they somehow got even worse, with 4-5 scam comments A DAY that I have to keep reporting, banning, and deleting from the main game's page...
I'm a bit tired of doing that, especially since unfortunately there seem to be younger or less informed individuals who DO fall for those...
Don't worry though, I'll be unlocking them back either when Itch solves this issue somehow, or when a new update is about to drop.
You can keep an eye out, and if you see them back on, that means an update is on the way :]

Itch definitely needs better moderation. Noticing the same issue for my game page.
That blows. I hope Itch fixes it and doesn't do the twitter thing of 'the bots inflate our user numbers we can't ban the bots!?'
I'm surprised these scam links work because technically everyone reading these fvns should be 18+ xd
As someone who's job it is to educate 18+ Trust me it will still work. There's no age cap on credulity.
I wish more devs would take a page out of dw's book. Deleting 4-5 comments a day is also a pain in the backside though, so I understand locking comments.
