Hello There


I did quite a lot this week in both the project and making up my mind


First off I have finaly made the last 2 main rooms for The Nest. First off the room that at this point doesnt have a real gaol just yet but its nice to have some of those rooms

Yes these events are needed theres dialogue tide to them


And the second room I made is a lil more important. The other one is a apartment room. Here

There are some test events on the path but those wont stay of course. This room has a lot of doors that lead to different rooms for different characters. Also those doors have a lil animation im pretty proud of. I cant really show it here besides recording it and Ill just have it as a lil suprize once you play the game


As I said a few  devlogs ago I want you to be able to invite the main characters from the other game jam games to The Nest to have them as permanent people in there. Now I wanted them to have rooms of there own. So thats why there is this room. Every character you invite gets a room that they can be in. Once a character is in The Nest they all have a random chance to be in the 9 main rooms. if the character lands on the apartment room they will be in there own room instead of somewhere in the hallway. The rooms the characters get is based on there world. To show that here is the room for Anko the character from Gray Pearl's room

His world looks close to this and so is his room. Now his room looks better in game then in the edit stuff but I cant show the whole room in 1 screenshot if im taking it in game. That said this is how a part of the room looks in game at the moment

Now the main characters room is also done (Besides the stuff like chairs or stuff Ill get there once Im atleast a decent part done with other stuff) but Id like to keep his room secret for now untill a bit later. So im going to have some fun making some lil rooms heh


Now you might look at the lest screenshot is the character I was walking around with. That isnt Stray (The main character of the game) no thats the Butler-Glowbug I wanted to design a while at this point and I finaly made up my mind to his design. Here he is

The lil bug boy is finaly real. Here is Fuzz the Butler-Glowbug. He will be the butler from The Nest that will help you in your journey of my world. I hope youll like him once chapter 1 comes out


At the moment Im working on the beginning cutsene and stuff. Cant show much about it yet seeing that most to if not all is changing rapitly so Ill just show what I can. In this sene Stray doesnt have his mask on his back because your following it throu The Nest with the lights out. It will be floating around like this in game

It has a lot more pinkish lights in game


Now I said that I also made up my mind about stuff and one of them was about the next game jam. I dont think Ill join it cause of a couple of reasons but one of them is that this main project is gonna take really long to make and every lil story game will not only make it so for 40 days I cant gove my full mind on it and also makes me want to make that world playable in this game which is gonna take me even longer. Also there will be a few games releasing around that time that I really want to play on release and those would take time for the game jam game away. So I wont partake in it and that means for a pretty decently long time Im not gonna take part in a game jam. (The next vew themes arent really up my stuff). So that means more time for big steam project. Yay


Also the other thing I made my mind up about is the cost. Seeing that this game is going to be a lot bigger then anything else I have make I first was thinking of making it cost like 10 euro's. But I think ill make the steam game free. I want people to be able to play the game without having to worry about cost and stuff. Probably around chapter 2 or 3 I might start a petreon or something for the people that wabt to suport my stuff but thats only a maybe still. But now you atleast know that this big steam game will cost 0 once the first chapter releases and will keep being that prize for its live span


Thats all for the new stuff. Next week Ill finaly try to get some of the face pictures for the dialogue boxes done. Im planning to have more faces then just the main character. Im planning for Stray, Fuzz and all the main characters from the other games to have faces (A lot more later on but thats what I want to have done next week :3).
