Hello There

Im finally done with my hollow knight silksong break and Im back in the game dev stuff. But seeing that most of the week was still that break I knew I wouldnt get a whole lot done this week. But yesterday I did do quite some stuff that I want to talk about.

I knew once comming back I needed to do 3 big system things that I have never done before. But these are very important. One of them is the menu. One of them is the battles and one of them is the world connection system with The Gate. Now battles and the connection stuff i still have to look at cause I want to do them 1 at the time. So I made some progress on the menu

In all my games theres only a very simple item menu you can use to look at your items. But I cant do much with that menu and I wanted to make a custom one. I cant code for the likes of me so I want to do something else. The nice lil White Hands that were the Save menu's in all my games will have a more menu role in this game. Once talking to one it will open a menu by my creation with 6 buttons. Here

Every button here will at some point be made. The lil background where you can see Stray standing will change on the location were you opened the menu. One of the big playing points of this game will be the different worlds and I want that to be reflected in the menu

Now I changed the names of these buttons and the amount and even what the buttons will do later on a lot. On my break I had the time to think on it a bit more freely and these are the buttons I feel like would be fun. "Fun" is a word to use once there in game and done. Its going to be a challange to make them however. I gave them colors to show what I mean (These colors will not be in the final game)

Green means its very easy. orange means its a fun challange and red means that it will be a hard mission to complete. Seeing that Im making this menu without the help of other stat or item menu's those are going to be hard.

So again not the most this week but seeing the silksong breaks over Ill be making more progress next week. Ill try to get as much of the menu done. Most likely but changes will happen for the game aswell once I work on that. But yea thats all for now. Have a fun day furthermore and goodbye
