Hello there. A painful 2 days have passed, and well. If I had to be honest, it just feels like a really bad burning in my chest. I didn't want to go into the specifics of what's happening.
Just to sum it up, I made a ton of progress (at least, I think I did) with the game so far. I have worked on leveling up via training and will work with the enemies next.
The leveling system is still really jank, and I have a few plans to get it balanced as it is, so I can allow for the level 40 to be reached rather fast. Thats about it.
I have a few plans for next week, which is to work on the enemy waves and extra drawings for enemies, especially with the nice little hint on the back door, signifying your little new friend that'll join you in about a week.
And trust me, it won't be friendly at all.
I also got to fix more bugs with the leveling and make it more fair, and I also try to plan to really try to get the equipment to work... Which is really harsh on my part, but I plan to get it working.
I mean, so far, I believe what I would have left is the lore for most of the objects, swords, clouds, enemies, coins, and everything else in between. Yeah, most of the stuff I have to do is just obscenely writing, coding more in my spaghetti, and drawing more.
As the deadline of a so-called Deadline approaches around this November... I have a real plan of grabbing a way to make a demo...
Yes, you heard it. I have officially set myself a deadline to submit this game to itch for at least playable terms. As long as I can finish the main components and write down what I need to finish and complete, this game will officially be playable soon.
I still lack MANY sound effects, music, and actual parts that seem entertaining, but I believe this is the closest I'll ever get to the game being as similar as I can to Swords and Souls.
I do plan to continue development even after I complete this game, even after its release. Perhaps to make a few quality of life changes, such as changing skills and what they actually do, or even balancing/changing arts or skills, and especially with the music, voice acting, and other stuff. I see a lot that I can change as I continue to develop this game, but honestly. I just want to see everything work as I wish for it to. So, as of now, we'll keep going as it is.
For now, I'll just continue to work on the development of Slice of Them, but it may slow a bit more, due to my school work suddenly becoming more aggressively difficult, and becoming much more situated to make me lose more time to work on the game as I continue onwards with the years.
Other than that, no new art for the time being. Maybe I will have a bit more starting next dev log, but even then, that really isn't too much if I had to be honest...
Yeah, that's that. Another 5 days of working will go buy, and I'll just have to see if I survive until then.

Come support my growth by following me on Reddit or YouTube. Reddit just has several inquiry questions that I made and promotions, and so does YouTube. YouTube supports more content-related issues, such as sneak peeks and trailers. Hope you find those interesting. I'll plan to have a Discord soon. Not sure when, but soon.

That being said, I'm glad if you read this far, and wish me more luck with my programming skills and game development skills even more. Gooood bye!
