July 2025 Update // Multi-Projects

Hello everyone and welcome back to RainSpice Studios' monthly devlog. Without further ado, let's get into it. (How is July already over, it was June a week ago?)

The way I work on Enter the Eternity is: Prologue > First Dates + Additional Scene > Second Dates + Additional Scene > Third Dates > Endings.

As you can see, I still have a lot to do. I won't focus on third dates quite yet, that's a problem for September-Rain.

What I plan on focusing on is remaking Henry's magical boy outfit because I absolutely hate it and have been procrastinating on it for ages but unfortunately his old design was already used in a CG so I have to remake it too.

There is also a scene between dates two and three that I need to format and that needs sprites and music. (The one I call "additional scene.")

If I have extra time, I will work on third dates.

The Code of Crystals is not looking fresh right now, but my goal for August is to focus on three scenes which I will nickname "Training," "Talk on the Road," and "Campsite." (With one more if I have some extra time.)

There is still a lot of work to do for chapter two as you can see above. However, these three scenes have no new sprites but only one background, one CG, and two mini-CGs. Then it's back to implementing sprites and music.

Project Regent

Project Regent (working title) is a fantasy visual novel and stat-raising game that is being made in collaboration with a talented writer and worldbuilder who wishes to be known under the name "Sparkey."

In a world full of shapeshifters and magic and curses, after a violent revolution, you are given a position of power in your home village. Will you be able to lead it well and help the other villages with their issues in and out of their walls? Or will you fail time and time again and die trying?

The game is designed as a local multiplayer visual novel for up to four players, but a singleplayer route will also be available for those who prefer to experience games on their own.

The game's story has been fully planned out, characters are being made, and while Sparkey takes care of the writing, I taught myself how to make a codex and stat screens. More accurately I found a codex code after banging my head on my desk for a whole afternoon, and made a stat screen for each player.

Unfortunately I do not have any concept art or game art that I can show yet.

Yes, it will have romance and romance and royalty subplots and let me tell you the TEA is hot in most villages.

I know I said that I would have progress bars for every project, but as this one is a wee baby swaddled in the cashmere blanket of innocence, I have no idea how much work Sparkey and I will have to do to watch it grow, but I know that it will be a big baby, and will take a lot of time and effort to make. It truly is a labor of love and I hope you guys will stick around to watch it grow and eventually be there when it is released.

After all of this positive talking, I come with bad news. My computer is irreparable. I knew it was holding on by a thread, but I did not know that, this time, it truly was the end.

I start a new job in September, as mentioned in the End of June devlog, so I will be able to save up for a new beast of a computer, but it also means that development will be slower as I try to earn a living. The city I live in isn't cheap either…

I will not speak about release dates or predictions, as I have no idea when anything will be released. Expect one day, but hope soon!
