Would you be willing to make a Linux download available? I've already purchased/donated for the game, but can't easily try it without a Linux version. I think this is relatively easy to do in Unity.

Thanks!

Hey there, Waylon.

Thanks for your support! It's heartening that you've made a commitment to support the project before being able to play it. I must admit, I don't have any current plans to distribute the demo to Linux. If I find some time, I can do a very quick export through Unity to see what comes out but, as I don't have a Linux machine, I can't attest to the game's stability on the platform and won't have a path to resolving any issues that will likely arise. There are already a few cross-platform problems that I have to address between Mac and Windows, so I wouldn't be surprised if Linux drags its feet one way or another.

Feel free to subscribe to this thread, I'll likely respond here again if I get around to trying a Linux build.

Thanks for reaching out, and for understanding.

I’ll keep an eye out here and try not to expect too much. It looks like this could turn into a great game. I just wanted to contribute a little and try it out for myself. I watched your video on the creation of the spiral staircase and thought that alone deserved a reward.

I don’t want to make more unnecessary work for you (I’d rather you focus on making a great game), but if it turns out to be easy I’d love to try it out. I’m also happy to report back here with my experience with the expectation that support on Linux is a low priority.

+1 for Linux support!  I have a Mac that I can play on, but I am slowly phasing the Macs out of my life and moving to Linux, which is becoming increasing viable for gaming.  Perhaps you can just have Unity export a Linux version and mark is as "alpha" on your site and Linux users can help test it for you and report issues.

Found this by search. I'd also like a Linux version. I figured it'd be a hassle on you, just dropping an FYI. Maybe you can compile the latest demo version for people to try out the game, without any tech support idk. I don't have neither a Win nor Mac machine plus the Linux community would love you.

Side note: I've been following you on YT and your way of creating things is just my cup of coffee. From the way you draw to talk and explain, couldn't have been better. I believe you have a bright future ahead and gratz on wedding too.
