There seems to be a bug with the window size in this game. The game will only launch correctly the next time you start it if you closed it in full-screen mode the previous time. In other words, if you want it to return to normal, you need to press F4 to switch to full-screen mode after launching the game, then close it, restart the game, and press F4 again to return to windowed mode.
