so i was doing the save elise from the fishmen quest, i finished killing all the enemies and saved near the exit, upon trying to leave the area i realized elise was nowhere to be found resulting in the game not letting me leave. he was nowhere in the level, tried reloading the save and the game itself multiple times to no avail. anyone have any fixes or is this just a perma soft lock?

Good day. Elise should be locked on the top right room, next to the room that female fish  folks are kept. Have you checked the room? You got to go through a locked door.

i did, this is at the end of the quest once you free him and escort him through the building. he just disappeared and isn't respawning.
