Puzzles

I’m not sure that changing up the sequences for the locks every time constitutes a fair puzzle. Having to guess which sequence is being used at which time is hardly in the spirit of a “puzzle” and more in-line with a guessing game. Gollum raging at Bilbo for putting out the “riddle” “what have I got in my pocket?” is entirely justified for this reason. At that point, save-scumming to keep the RNG the same so that anything “logical” can be figured is not untoward.

That being said, the art is fantastic!

Just checking, is it restarting every time you click to figure out the sequence?

The puzzle is designed to only restart once the console is activated, and should have a set sequence that remains the same until it is solved.

My thought process was that act of  figuring out the button sequence each time would be considered puzzle-like, but I can see where you are coming from.

Ah, then if that’s the aim yeah, it behaves as intended. Across saves from outside the console (before the sequenece is attempted) it’s shuffled, but saving at the console has a repeated sequence which is a lot easier. I forgot to udpate the original post to reflect that. Sorry about the grumping!

No worries :)
