Great first two chapters! Loved the warm art and CGs included in there, can't wait to see more of these two. Especially the rest of the family, kinda curious how they interact with Inde.
I never read your original novel, though the game is great! The premise and shown interactions are alive and feel believable.
My biggest point about it would be the rushing of those two chapters. It took me about half an hour to read, and connecting to characters in that short of a timeframe just seems impossible. It would be great if we had more interactions between Inde and the family during those 6 months it plays out. Some more dialogue and random scenes that hint at things to come at times, maybe. Like where the scars on her back actually came from, that the family is already aware that something is growing between those two, love pies, and things like that. Maybe a introduction at Inde's day-to-day life at the new job and how they get colder towards each other during it. A good example would be the introduction to Annabelle and the fishing business. You tell us that they hit it off pretty well and that there is a direct connection, but we are not shown such. The other Parts of the family as well, we are missing the visual as well as the experience side of them since they only ever get mentioned before the ending of Chapter 2. That works well in a Novel but deteriorates in a complementary format like a visual novel.
Though i gotta say, besides these things, i really love it for what it has. It is grown up, funny, and especially the ending of Ch2 gets me the feels for their blooming relationship. Indes Sprites look like a student being thrown into real Work life are great. Abigail's bee scene was just adorable and the greatest twist for a otherwise hardy appearing character.
I'll definitely read the novel next, and I hope you continue this amazing work!
