I am new to using Linux Mint, and the Linux install instructions are very unhelpful. I do not have much experience installing programs from the terminal, so is there anyone willing to help me install the base version without having to go through steam?

You have the .AppImage of the app, right? Just right-click it, go to properties and seek for something like a checkbox labeled as "Executable?", in my operating system "Kubuntu" it's in the permissions tab, after that you can just double-click the appimage file and it should work.

That worked! Thank you! I had to go into properties, then the permissions tab, the check the Execute box.
