using windows 10, but the result makes everything black

i know it said conditional functionality with windows 10, but nowhere does it say what the conditions are or how to make it work. i just bought it and opened it up, loaded a standard color spectrum and started it in windowed mode, and everything is black, no settings change it. (fullscreen also makes everything black but i cant see the buttons if i do that so i do windowed instead).

is there any fix for this? anything about how to make it work?

also would be pretty rad if windows 10 compatibility was a plan for the future as alot of people dont want or cant switch to windows 11 like me.

my pc setup, or at least windows is saying that, isnt suited for windows 11 as im running an old machine. so upgrading for me isnt just as simple as installing windows 11.

im a huge color theory nerd, even wanting to make some image processing software using OKLab and other perceptual color and shape trickery myself, so i wanted to use this application to see how itd look on my machine.

Please join my Discord server (if possible) and describe your problem (preferably with images) there: https://discord.gg/Bc7qesQW85
A handful of other people have had similar problems and most of them managed to get it working in the end (even if just through luck). There's a section called "Custom Color Vision - App" on the Discord, where you can find the right text channel to post your problem.

Of course, if you don't want to use Discord as a means of communication, you can also use this platform. But I'm quicker and more responsive on Discord in general.

As for the Windows10 overlay compatibility, I'm still working on it. But it's unfortunately not as easy as one might think, which is why I haven't successfully integrated that feature yet for Win10.
