The following is an assortment of design thoughts which will help myself and others understand the deeper workings of the project.
- I hope to make this as self-contained as possible. I want the core Catterheart to provide everything to build and run a complete campaign from starting character to sundowning. This includes 2-3 adventures each for early, middle, and late-game play.
- Most of the time, characters have 2 currently active lives. This represents approximately the core benefits of a single base class in Daggerheart. Past Lives fill in much of the power space normally filled by levels, experiences, and heritage. Talents are intended to be roughly equivelant to level 2-4 domain cards in Daggerheart. The goal is more normalized character power level ranging from that of level 3 to level 6 Daggerheart characters.
- I would like to supply some GM tools focused on handling separating the party and solo outings for players -- something often highly discouraged in RPGs.
