Level Editor: I'm lost.

This is an incredible port of a mobile game I used to play YEARS ago. Back when I played in 2016-2017, I always wished there was a level editor. Stumbling upon this hidden gem, there is! But I'm very lost as to how to use it.

More specifically, I don't know how to delete levels, I don't know how to sync the level with the song without having to export it and play every single time, and I seem to be unable to place any objects at all sometimes.

Regardless, this is still amazing and I don't even plan to make a level until I collect every gem and crown in the main levels. If someone experienced with this editor could tell me what I'm doing wrong, I'll be really glad to hear it!

• First of all thanks for trying it out ^_^. It genuinely means a lot to me!!

• To delete a level you can long press it and it will show a menu to reset its score, delete it or export it.

• Sadly this is still a WIP so I haven't found a way to spawn you in the middle of the level and how the speed works exactly so I can't simply add a wave for the music in the editor without it desyncing from the level.

• Also I'm not done porting all of the newer enemies and features after 1.9.8.3 (Halloween Party update) which may be why you're experiencing issues with those enemies. If its not that its probably because you have not setup the geobuffers correctly. Geobuffers are very confusing to setup correctly but I didn't want to mess with the original system the game had to load levels/enemies too much so you will need to manually configure it (although I will probably work on an auto geobuffer generator soon.)

• For context the Rolling Sky 1.9.8.3 apk was used to decompile the game back to a unity project and is the base for RSP. As a unity project I have more liberty on what I can do with the game (why the level editor was even possible) and it allows me to be able to build it back into any other platform that's not android. Due to technical limitations its almost impossible to recover any of the code from any version after this one which is why I need to reimplement all newer features and enemies manually.

TLDR: Read the second point and the issues with the enemies not appearing is probably a misconfigured geobuffer.

This answers everything, thanks a lot for your response! Now that I see how this works,  it makes sense why the level editor is as it is, and it's still really incredible nonetheless.

I will be keeping up with the updates for this project, I'm really excited to see where this goes. In the meantime, I'll be grinding the base game. Thanks 😊
