Why is the android version 2.04 while the pc version is 2.03? Is there a difference? If there is, should I play with an emulator?

A bunch of games that used to work on android don't anymore, due to recent software updates rendering older games unusable on android. 

2.04 seems to just be an update to be playable on newert androids
