i dont understand the system like circles appear and I try to parry but I get hit anyways is there something I'm doing wrong

you need to put the blade of your sword in the circle, not the handle

Press the right mouse button to block. After touching the blue lightning to gain energy, you can block automatically without needing to press the button.
