The Itch app won't recognize that you've downloaded a game if it uses external file hosting (MEGA, MediaFire, etc.) for the download, and it obviously can't push update notifications for games it can't tell that you have.

This affects both PC users with the official app and Android users with the unofficial one.

Please revert to using Itch's own file hosting if at all possible.
