Running on Windows 10, have a C:/ drive and a D:/ drive
volume/sensitivity/old/theme settings: default (exception of choosing C:/ drive)
Issue: Drive not clicking, but idle drive ambience runs fine.
Explanation: Program runs fine, launching through .exe, tried other versions (v.65 & v0.9), made sure C:/ drive was selected in theme menu (v1.4), idle drive ambience noises work (like the fan noise but not the clicky noises)
Debug log:
"Disk activity threshold exceeded!
Loaded sound folder: C:/Users/Error/Downloads/DiskClick V0.1.4/DiskClick/Hard Drive Samples/1986 Kyocera KC-20B"
(notice that the "disk activity threshold exceeded!" occurred before I even selected a file to play, this is consistent with every running of the program)
Current fix: What ended up fixing it for me was opening the program, closing it with the drive ambience on (running in the background with the main window closed) opening the program through the .exe again (2 programs running total) and now that window detects the clicks and automatically had the correct sound file selected
I closed both windows as a test of replication and when i opened the .exe with no other programs open (fully closed through task manager), it opened and clicked perfectly how it should be. i haven't tested after resetting pc
Closing notes: First, to the confused user, I hope this helped, please make sure you selected your C:/ drive in the themes options, it was a blank button for me so it was a little confusing to find, otherwise opening 2 of the program at the same time seems to have jogged it's memory.
second to the author! I love this program a lot! even if it took a bit to get set up it's genuinely a great idea that i was thinking about wanting (wistfully thinking "i wish i could make that and i wonder if someone has" and that's how i found this!) I doubt this project is a priority for you but if you ever wanted to come back to it i wanted to make sure to give you the best shot at fixing any bugs you might encounter! thank you for sharing your project! :)
