you just have to leave the map you're on so like go to world map if its stuck in a crash loop go abck to old version and move lona out onto the world map or into a highway tile with nothing in it
after you've saved the game on the world map on old version just load the save in new version and enter the map and save again. thats it although it will say old version still but so long as the save works its fine.
