i have was following the steps i found then was stopped here and now I am unsure what to do from here, do i have to open the folders or something like that?

this is the folder where you put your model or add the files to start rigging your model. Whatever guide you were following probably just showed you how to get to the folder without the hotkey working (mine won't work either)
