So, I talked about how good the DM maps were in my last post. But I forgot to mention the music! Oh my gods the music is so godsdamn good! The OST for Furdm01, Furdm03, and Furdm05 are my favorites with Furdm05 being my favorite of the favorites.
I liked that midi so much that I played on that map for an hour with just bots to keep me company, plus something else. :]
I mean just look at how many bodies are in this hallway alone. Oh, and I thought it would be funny to have DOOM Guy and Daisy fight each other. Forgot to mention that. This fact will lead to the theory later...
Anyways, there was something I placed on this map that was killing us by the dozens. And making all the Daisy's faint as well.
It liked getting frags here the most, because it had a clear shot and the bots liked infighting on this fence for some reason... Also IDK why that Red Daisy "died" like that and stayed in that state even though she should have went into the normal "death" pose, might be a Sourceport thing. (Or the fact that I have like 12 other mods on right now, too. Probably that one.)

Anyways, you might have remembered I placed something else on the map with us... well, here she is...
The Spidermomma herself. But she is a special one, because I gave her a damage increasing item, a (Player) speed boost (I don't think this one had any effect.) and a BasicArmor that was coded to have no Save Percent and Damage Factor to "Normal" Damage at zero. This effectively made her an invincible 1 shot menace that roamed the Chaingun/Chainsaw room. I have 500 frags but I can assure you, she had more than twice that amount!

See, she can't die. This is me using a debug weapon on her that shoots like a billion hitscan projectiles that do billions of damage. "Freeze" is still in effect, but as you can see, she is still in her "Missile" state If she died, she would be in the first frame of her "Death" state, which in this Beta is just her instantly on the floor. (It looks like she is wearing a golden dress. :])
Anyways, onto my theory. So, I noticed that DOOM Guy dies very bloodily to all these BFG Balls and shotguns and rockets, but Daisy just gets knocked out. Does this mean that Daisy is stronger than DOOM Guy? In fact, all of the FurDoom cast must be stronger (durability wise) than their Vanilla counterparts. Cybie doesn't turn to Gibs when he explodes, Spidermomma doesn't blow up at ALL, and XDeath is replaced with the closest equivalent to "Ragdoll Physics" you can get in DOOM.
There are two theories for this, that I have made.
1. It may have to do with the fact that all the new characters are, quote "adorably thick". End quote. Now, I know it is DOOM Heresy to say that the original cast are not thick in their own right! I mean, DOOM Guy in TNT intermission screens and the fact that Cybie is memed all the time for having a quote "nice ass" end quote. But you would have to be tripping to not realize that these FurDoom characters are thick times 100 compared to the originals! So, maybe their "thick" bodies give them immunity to taking lethal wounds, and instead all of their "thickness" absorbs lethal damage that would have ruptured their organs or Gib them! That is why XDeath is just them getting sent flying! It makes so much sense now!
2. It may have to do with the fact that all the new characters are, quote "anthropomorphic furries". End quote. This seems to be the more likely reason. I think this because it just makes the most sense. I have seen some very "thick" people in real life suffer horrible injuries. So it makes more sense that the reason to them being "deathless" has to do with their being rather than their state. I guess "anthropomorphic furries" just have an inherent resistance to dying. I mean, why not? There are plenty of fantasy races that can do all kinds of things. Skeletons from Kenshi for instance can stand in the middle of a death ray and not give a single freak at all. Also, it seems that instead of health kits, there are "stamina kits". So maybe instead of taking "health" damage, they take "stamina" damage. That is why when anyone "dies", it looks like they take a nice nap. It makes so much sense now!

Another funny Daisy. And yeah, I played for another hour and a half. Your midi is SERIOUSLY that good! It is peak! Also seeing Daisy fly from BFG Balls and Rockets are just the best "deaths" I have seen in this game. I am serious that them flying is better than the Icon of Sin's death sequence. I am dead freaking serious.
Final question for the Modder: Are you going to upload the OST to Youtube or Spotify or Bandcamp or something? I looked up FurDoom OST and found nothing.
