Thoughts & criticisms

This game has fantastic art, and some good writing. However, I feel like there is a missing central flow to the game. The UI is just symbols everywhere that you click on, and then you get whatever that symbol has to offer, and it finishes with some sort of loud sound effect.  But the meaning of these symbols and what they give you is not clear from the beginning, and the amount of work you had to do to achieve it is almost nothing. It makes the core gameplay loop seem shallow and meaningless.

The Icons scattered all over the screen for the UI is like looking at a photo with the brightest colors scattered all over the photo. Your eye has no idea where it should be looking. It makes the flow of the game feel chaotic and distorted. Perhaps introducing only the symbols that the player needs at that time, and then slowly adding more in with progress - constantly being mindful of not overwhelming the focus of the player.

I can tell there is a lot of thought to the dialogue, but it just goes on and on because it will stay in queue from whatever you just clicked. You can literally rack up minutes of dialogue from actions that you had done previously, and your companion will keep talking while you're at a completely new task. I get that she is there to explain the world to you, but it has to be within whatever experience the player is currently in, and not from 2-3 minutes ago. Maybe having each icon be it's own experience, backed with dialogue, and then ending the experience as one whole event/scene might be the way to go.

I understand this is the first game by this group, and the game is in early access, so there is still a lot of work to be done.  I just hope the fundamental design improves, because it aimed really high, with a lot of great ideas, but those ideas aren't properly tied together.

I hope this did not come across too harshly, but it was my honest thoughts

Thanks for the feedback!

The UI and resource icons will get another pass in the future, right now we're mostly focused on creating more (lewd) content for the game. The audio and text popups will also receive a slight rework once we get around to them. As you said, this is still Early Access so expect things to change as we update the game with new content, areas and mechanics.
