Hope this is some sort of comment section.

Cuz I REALLY want to bash the MC over the head. Repeatedly.
What kind of moron sacrifice themselves?! >_<

I TRULY wish there was a REAL CHOICE!
Cuz the mc is clearly nothing at all like me, and I really hate playing do-gooders.
....clearly she deserves everything she gets. >_>

The idea for the game is very good.
I LOVE the villain.

And the buildup to the game hints of some amazing and fun game.
(Where you get to kill people. ^_^
....and I admit I held a teeny-tiny hope you could romance the villain. But I realize that may be too much to hope for.)

But the ending SUCKS!

And the entire game is boring, more boring, and even more boring, and wait! It ends!
(By which I mean: introductions and then you die. And no, you can't choose to say no to being an idiot.)

I have no clue if any interaction with other characters impact that choice, but even if they do, it's stupid.
You want to play nice with people so they don't kill you, obviously.
But that doesn't mean you care for them one whit. It's purely strategic.

I REALLY wish there was a choice! >_<

Hi Raven! Thank you so much for playing through my Demo! Sorry that your experience with it wasn’t that good. To help me, what’s boring about it? Is it because it doesn’t get into the nitty gritty straight away, or did you just not enjoy that part?

Also about the villain, I’m glad you like him! I’ve had heaps of others saying they like him too! So atleast I’m pretty proud of myself for creating a good villain. The lore with the villain and the protag goes deeper than just the game itself, but there won’t be much romance between them because obviously, Ciara hates him because he is not a good person. But there is small amounts of romance between them mostly sided to Akira.

Sorry you don’t like the ending, remember it’s just the Demo. And it’s in really early stages. I just wanted to make Ciara be the one I to get stabbed because if there were other choices it would make a lot of work for me. Or maybe I will just get rid of the whole thing, idk?

im currently up to writing and creating a part where they are in the first killing game and someone’s gonna die soon (it’s basically a card killing game where people hav various roles) so yeah, there’s a lot more to add!

thank you very much for your honest review though, I really appreciate it!! Have a lovely day!

The boring part was the whole seemingly endless introduction.
People standing still in a circle and telling everyone else about themselves is actually not good in writing.
(Or in school groups, or any other setting.)

If you want my advice on it, I recommend that you change it to action scenes where instead of people -telling- each other what they like and dislike, you have them -show- it.

(Like maybe someone have lost the picture of their sister/a neckless her sister gave her and is frantic and nearly in tears to find it because her sister is super-important to her. Or there is a competition requiring a skill some other guy have, like having to picklock a door and a thief guy does it easily, leading to questions and a brushed off explanations. Small things spread out across the story that weaves a tapestry showcasing their personality little by little.)

Yes... Having to play a do-gooder is a sadly common occurrence in these games... *sigh*
I still wish it was possible to romance him...or maybe do some things that accidentally made him fall in love with you and at the end he'd brainwash you like Hannibal did with Clarise in Hannibal (the book following Silence of the Lambs).

I think your story could be good if only it got to the action a little faster.

Because the PREMISE of your story is absolutely brilliant.

(Although that may just be the villain in me speaking.)

I honestly expected the game to be a bit more in the line that you first are put together, maybe split in groups like in...ah, just about every similar game ever.
You do tasks together as a group, bond to the members, have to kill off other groups...only to learn at the very end you need to kill each-other, and THAT is when the real emotional connections pay dividend tenfold in horror, because now you LIKE these people. You may even have a love interest you've started a relationship with, and be forced to kill him or die!

And to top it off, the suspicion between the groups, and the members within that group, grows and grows.

When everyone is a potential enemy, it'll become difficult to make the right choice.

Can you trust your lover? You best friend?
Sure, they've been nice, but they all have some pretty big reason to live.

Will you sacrifice yourself for your bf/gf?
Will they try to sacrifice themselves for you?

Either way; you won't leave the place without serious psychological damage. IF you leave it alive at all.

And THAT is what makes these games so good.

(Even without the bonus that is killing other people. But I may be unique there. ^_^ )

Hiii Raven!

Sorry for the extremely late reply, I didn't even notice you responded... lol.

Anyway, it's been a while, and I've gotten through a lot of my game now! I've come to the conclusion that I'm going to get rid of the introduction part all together as in all honesty (it is extremely boring) and not needed as you will get to know and have intimate moments with all the characters later on. So far there has been three deaths~ so I'm really getting there! I'm also going to start my game off with an action, like Ciara wakes up tied up and has to quicky find a way out, so I think that will make it a little more exciting to start it off!

And yeah :( I'm sorry. I won't spoil too much of the backstory between Ciara and Akira, but there is a bit of romance there! Just probs not the type you're expecting or wanting ^_^. And oh! Don't worry, I definitely have some ideas planned for the end. Since this is a multiple endings game, there's going to be many endings depending on certain choices and relationships with the other players. At the start there is also going to be only TWO choices that the players HAVE to choose. It's going to be 'Would you kill to survive?' and its either a yes, or a no. So, I'm thinking of making some cruel twisted endings based on which answer the player decides to choose too. Not to spoil too much, but if the player chooses 'Yes', she will be forced to kill someone (VERY close to her) and may be forced to stay with Akira? Still coming up with the ideas but there is plenty! Just got to work on implementing them :O

And for how the game goes, basically the start is pretty slow paced, it's basically them exploring the area and slowly getting closer, then the first game begins. Which is the Card killing game. So, after that a player dies, then the games pick up their pace a lot faster. Hint* the next game involves one gun* and then the next one is quite personal...

So, yea! It's a long journey, but I've got so many ideas! It's just writing them and putting them all into the game that's the hardest part. But! My game is starting to look pretty good! I'd say I'm almost halfway there, then I've got to go through and do all the final editing (Boring -_-) but ah well! it will be SOOO worth it in the end!

And yeah! Theres going to be a lot of, 'Who do I trust?' and 'What do I do?' types of situations, and also, I'm going to try and add a lot of choices so I can really make my game a 'Choose Your Own Adventure' type game. Good choices = somewhat good ending (Still psychologically damaging, but somewhat good) Bad choices = Bad endings... I won't say any more. C:

But thank you so much for taking your time to go through this for me. You have absolutely made my day, and I appreciate you so much. :) With this being my first game, it is very scary, and I always have doubts about it not being good enough, but really in reality, I can make it happen if I really put my mind to it. :D

I don't even really care if I don't make money out of it XD I just want to tell everyone, 'I LAUNCHED MY FIRST GAME!' As it's always been my biggest dream since I was a kid...

But I reckon it's going to be a great game! It may take me a long time, but I'll get there!

Also, if you want to stay updated my games TikTok Account is tjs_productions. I don't post heaps on there, but I do occasionally :D

Again, thank you for all of this. You have helped me out alot :3 Might even put you in the credits at the end of my game for all the help... lol.

But oof... this reply is so long. Have a lovely day/ night, and also, once I make an updated Demo. I'll add it on here :)
