Rain World levels of originality in environments. The grimy textures over otherwise simple geometry, the creatures and hazards that make up this world are as cool as the creatures in rain world. The vending machine currency system is neat, the inventory weight system is cool, the tactile inventory management system is very well done, all the common items are insanely well balanced and useful, and the game is just difficult enough to require my full attention without being rage inducing. The first time I beat this game my heart was racing, and due to the tactility of the inventory system and how much holding you do, my hands were actually sweating and hurting; a bit like how our characters would be. only a bit. I cant imagine how our character feels throwing rebar with enough force to plunge it into a concrete wall and also send themselves flying back like 50 feet.
This game is incredible. I will be buying the full release. I hope they keep the brutal difficulty and no checkpoints, making the game more of a roguelike where your only skills are your knowledge and finesse as a player, and maybe some buffs that can be picked up per run, because towards the end of the game (that we can play right now) items become incredibly scarce.
You're doing great with this game. The last time I felt this level of stress was when I was fighting the final boss of my first ever souls game
