I am so sorry that you have issues. I will try to my best to fix the issues as soon as i can. 

Please comment your bug reports. 
For better understanding for me, it would great informative that , please write the issue clearly, and try to give as much as you can detail , so i can reproduce the issue and can find the root of it.

Hello there. So on a very early stage of the game, right after prologue and building first building in the village as instructed, I clicked Valerius' House, then notice board and I started the first quarry mission. Then as I run into a problem (on my part actually, as I described in my post Quarry bridge), I wanted to try again as I found myself stuck.

The problem is, when I click restart button, all I got was an endless (literally, I left my laptop to do other things and after a long time nothing changed) loading screen. Don't get me wrong, the art is very beautiful, but I don't think that's the point of restarting :)

After closing the game (alt+f4) "continue" button in main menu did not work. Starting a new game from main menu fixed the continue button (obviously continuing the new game), but I did not attempt to restart again.


Also, no need to apologise, bugs and stuff are completly normal, what matters is that you acknowlegde this. It's great that you care, keep up the good work, your game has huge potential :)

Thank you for the detailed explanations. It will help me to reproduce and give me a chance to fix it. 
With the older post my roadmap will be like this ; 
- Gif supported  hint panels. Current hints lack of explanations and i will add video or gif on those and will help to visualize what to do. 
- Will try to reproduce the issue what you have done in the post.  And understand what is going on. 

I will release a bug fix before the Part 3  release.

I try to reproduce it but after 30 seconds the game starts.  How much time have you wait?  can you please to try it and tell me ? 

Sure, I tried it again. Started a new game, then restart right away. I let it run for an hour and a half and it never got out of loading screen, I even tried pressing buttons and clicking just in case. Continue from main menu still does not work after closing the game like this, but if I play normally and close the game without trying to restart, continue button works fine.

My CPU is AMD Ryzen 7 5800H 3,2GHz, GPU Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050Ti, RAM 16 GB DDR-4 with SSD storage and I recently set my laptop to default settings, so it's strange that it doesn't work for me, but works for you just fine. I don't know what might be causing it

Hmm, it sounds a problem about the caller about the "level is ready to go".
So the steps ; 
- Start the game
-New Game

-Start on the city siege level. 
-  close the level ; question -  have you reached any check point? or have you saved the game manually? Or you simply open the level and close it ? 
-then restart the game application
-Then click on "continue" 

Loading screen never closed.

Is that correct ? 

Steps:

-Start the game

-New game

-Start on the city siege level

-Don't even move, Escape key, "Restart"

-Loading screen never closed

-Close the game (alt+f4)

-Start the game

-Continiue (doesn't work, no reaction)

It looked exactly the same when I attempted it on quarry level after reaching checkpoints. I did not save game manually

Ok, new information. I decided to delete the game and download it again. I started a new game, then tried to restart. After a few seconds music started (it happend on earlier tries too), then after another few seconds I heard the intro, but loading screen was still there. Whole intro played out, then I heard normal game sounds including attack on mouse clicks, but still the only thing I saw was the loading screen. Looks like some bug causing loading screen not to disappear graphically, but the rest of the game works normal. Continue button still does not work after that, but when I started a new game and reached a chceckpoint, continue button works just fine even after closing the game by pressing alt+f4.

On the other note, if I could suggest something, I noticed it's impossible to access options when in game. Works through main menu, but not in game, eg. city siege level. Would be good to be able to adjust options, especially graphics, when in game

Yes , the issue is related to the loading screen. I am on it. 
The other suggestion - options in action mode-  will be added. You know, as a solo dev I have to put everything one by one. The options are gonna be reachable via action-city builder mode too .

I think, it wont be good idea to keep "restart" option . Because, current save load system store all the data of the side scroller items, enemies and the quest . I need to rework on that to saperate the side scroller data and set them as "temp" . I think it will hit all the deadline s if i start on that. I think , I have to remove restart option  and postpone to implement it. I made a progress but the quest system hit me.  Sorry for that.  
Currently ;
You start on the first level, the game will automatically be saved.  So if you just close the game and start it again, main menu will start from the begining of the seige level. 
If you go on playing , switch to city and then take the contrat. Game will save the game. So if you switch to mine level and close t without any movement. and start the game again, main menu will start from the end of the city building level. you will start the contrat again . 
This is the best i can do . what do you think ? 

In my opinion the best option would be to implement  possibility of saving the game manually at any time without quitting it with possibility to load save slot at will. Plus autosaves at checkpoints. And restart option could stay if it were to restart current mission instead of the whole game from the beggining. But what you said works too

I think i can  implement the manuel save logic.  I will try it. I hope i can.  Lets see.
