In the past I've heard bits and pieces about Eden's Garden but never really looked into it until now, and after playing it all I can say is WOW.

Every aspect of this project is so wonderfully crafted, and I can tell there was a lot of love put into this game by many, many people. The artwork is gorgeous, and utilizes the Dangaronpa style in a way that retains its original charm while also feeling personal to the game. Speaking of which, I love the choice to use 3D modelling for the spaces-- it reminds me of the original exploration segments in THH!

The programming and game design elements are also really incredible. Being able to replicate the original gameplay while also including new segments (such as the pathos feature, which I really enjoyed!) is not only technically impressive, but also engaging and refreshing for older fans of the series. The sound design team did an amazing job of composing an entire soundtrack which is crazy!!! I'm a fan of a lot of the tracks, but I have to say Warm Body is my favorite, really nails the investigative-y vibes of DR.

My favorite element by far, however, has been the characters. I found all of them to be extremely charming, and I love that both writing and design wise none of them really seem like "gag characters." Probably one of my biggest pet peeves with the original franchise, lol. The voice actors did an AMAZING job. Kai and Cassidy's performances specifically are just so so fun to listen to, and I found myself unable to speed through them on non-stop debate segments, even after the third or fourth time hearing it. I also think making the protagonist a speech and debate kid is immensely funny, and as someone who's had the misfortune of interacting with those types quite frequently, I couldn't help but find the ending of the prologue deeply satisfying. Sorry Damon!

While it's a little too early to comment on the narrative, I will say that what I have seen so far seems very compelling. I can't wait to find out more!

Whew, that was long, but I felt like I had to express just how much every facet of this project impressed me. This is a quality piece of fanwork that dare I say already outshines the original in both creativity and thoughtfulness. I'm excited for the release of Chapter 1 (I want to go in blind, so I haven't watched any trailers), as well as the future of this game!!
