Hi everyone,

I’m looking for feedback on my game, Presidential Rise, a strategy management  political simulation game where you take on the role of a president navigating the complexities of governance, economy, and public perception.

Game Overview

In Presidential Rise, players manage a fledgling nation by making crucial decisions on infrastructure, exports, and political policies. The goal is to balance economic growth, maintain public approval, and address various requests to keep the country running smoothly.

What I’m Looking For Feedback On:

  1. Tutorial Effectiveness:
    • How clear and helpful are the tutorials in guiding you through the game’s mechanics?
    • Do you feel equipped to handle the game’s challenges after completing the tutorial?
  2. UI/UX Improvements:
    • Are the new UI elements intuitive and easy to navigate?
    • Does the game provide enough information to make informed decisions?
  3. Balancing:
    • How does the pacing feel, particularly with the new Next Day skip feature?
    • Are the consequences of ignoring requests clear and fair?
  4. Overall Gameplay Experience:
    • Is the game engaging and challenging in a fun way?
    • What parts of the game do you find most enjoyable or frustrating?

How to Play and Provide Feedback

You can check out Presidential Rise on my itch.io project page. I would appreciate any feedback you have, whether it's about the gameplay, mechanics, or even the story. Please feel free to share your thoughts in this thread or leave a comment on the itch.io page.

Your feedback is incredibly valuable and will help me improve the game further. Thank you for taking the time to play and share your insights!

Gave you a little review on your game page! My game is over here, if you'd like to give some insight on the game page: https://wasabiiii.itch.io/grass-elemental-demo-demo; But hopefully this feedback also helps out:

- The tutorial was pretty clear and concise, and it helped me understand things without it being too overwhelming

- The challenges ahead made more sense from the tutorial, and gave me a good idea of what to expect

- While the UI itself is intuitive and easy to navigate, I will say that the information that follows is a bit much up front. Perhaps for more casual players, put in a system where you unlock progressively more intricate mechanics over the coming days, and as rewards for completing initially easy and gradually harder challenges

- There is enough information to make decisions, but it could be a bit more drawn out as to not potentially overwhelm players

- The pacing feels okay

- The consequences of ignoring requests are fair and realistic, and are integral to the gameplay and to the player's decision making

- For me, the game was unfortunately not very engaging, as the information of the requests and other mechanics to keep in mind were a little overwhelming. But it was challenging to pick up and understand how things impact the gameplay

- I found the art and sound design to be enjoyable, as well as the overall style of the game. I found nothing to be truly frustrating

Overall, while not exactly my type of game, I have lots of hope for Presidential Rise. I know it can do very well!

Thank you so much for your valuable feedback. The point about "Unlocking Mechanics Gradually" is indeed something I’ve been contemplating. It’s a challenge to balance the complexity I want to offer with the limited time players might have and ensuring a smooth gameplay experience. I’ll definitely look into this further to find a better approach.
