Troubles installing the game involving unicode.

I solved my .dll troubles while no solutions on the downloadsite worked and came to share my insights.

If someone like me has their systems Unicode set to Japanese for.... reasons i suspect are also present in the playerbase of this game, the game won't start and show a .dll errormessage to check for viruses and reinstall the game. All suggested solutions even deleting the F1AltEnterF12.dll file didn't work. After some time I found that the japanese unicode was the problem and changing it (in my case back to German) worked. Maybe this info shoud/could be added to the FAQ on the downloadtab.

Nice game so far I enjoyed the relatively few hours i put in until now quite a lot already. A good challenging RPG were decisions you make in a few seconds matter to a degree i haven't seen in any other game so far.

I hope this helps a few people.

the solution is to disable unicode and or run it with eng/cht locale

honestly i don't think its related to japanese its probably something else on your system be it a particularly aggressive anti virus or alternatively you need to run the resetRMsettings.reg file inside the folder due to a conflicting games settings messing with lona to the point it doesn't run

Hello there I just now saw you edited your post so I want to clarify things.

I am 99% sure it is directly connected to changing the unicode settings to japanese and back (though I have to admit I have 0 coding experience). The Game will not work consistently when the unicode regional setting is set to Japan (same with a lot of Japanese based games when the unicode is set to anything other than that which is the reason why i stumbled upon this problem) and give the mentioned .dll error with the suggestion to check for viruses.

In my coding ignorance i just assume it has to do with how also the filepaths change since there is no \ on the japanese keyboard (not that i know of) and the file adresses use another sign for that.

Still ejoying the game btw. keep up the good work.
